independently what he was saying in interviews about his sexuality preferences,
he faced the homophobic time in the beginning 70`s,
a time declaring homosexuality as illness,
a time in which lesbian mothers taken off her children,
a time same-sex kissing in public was illegal,
a time thousands of men was arrested when showing his sexuality,
a time with homophobic bullying in schools,
same sex marriage was banned,
with his Alter Ego Ziggy Stardust persona style
and the walk 1972 he does with the first gay pride march
on 1st July in London from Trafalgar Square to Hyde Park
his effect for the LGBT-Community was not only marginal,
like homophobic voices wants to wish,
but essential.
